Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical FP&A Manager to join the team and contribute to building out a high rigor, high performing, scaled FP&A function. The ideal candidate will bring strategic, analytical, modeling and communication skills and a builder’s mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the FP&A Director supporting R&D, Support and G&A to partner with the leadership of those functions, specifically to:
- Drive deep collaboration with each function, ensuring strong financial analysis and insight on key decisions
- Develop deep understanding of all aspects of the business and functions, and proactively identify issues and opportunities
- Own detailed function-level forecasting and ongoing refinements to forecasting over time
- Develop inputs for and participate in the company’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) processes
- Work with the Data Science team to operationalize detailed operating dashboards / key metrics and to drive automation
- Work with each function on monthly reporting - providing financial insight to the function, as well as providing financial and operating insight to Finance and the Executive team
- Support the Headcount Planning process, both for each function and company-wide
- Work with each function to identify, prioritize and drive ongoing improvements to productivity, costs and efficiency
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics and lead key function-level initiatives on an as-needed basis
- Work with the VP Finance, Planning & Analysis to:
- Support strategic and operating priorities, investor relations efforts and other key initiatives through conducting analytics, developing materials, delivering communications and working with relevant stakeholders
- Lead and / or support cross-functional initiatives and projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field. MBA preferred though not required
- 4-6 years of experience, ideally with early background in investment banking, PE/Growth or consulting followed by FP&A roles, preferably in a high growth tech company
- Exceptional modeling skills, and experience developing and maintaining three-sheet models for complex businesses in high growth, highly dynamic markets. Adept with relevant tools including Excel, Sheets, VBA, SQL, SFDC, NetSuite, etc
- Outstanding communications skills, with experience preparing, presenting and communicating with executives, investors and sophisticated business audiences. Strong ‘storytelling with data’ skills
- Highly driven with a strong ownership mentality
- High quality bar and detail orientation, along with excellent business judgment
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with ability to accomplish complex objectives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
