Job Description

Location: MD or surrounding states (must be within driving distance of D.C.). Onsite Requirement: Weekly visits to the D.C. office.

Travel: Mostly regional, 25–50%.

Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a Federal Project Manager dedicated to a high-impact, multi-year nationwide modernization program. The role encompasses the full project lifecycle, supporting both active implementation phases and ongoing multi-year maintenance contracts.

  • As a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO), you will report directly to the Lead PM, providing mission-critical support to ensure program-wide alignment, schedule adherence, and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

Program Operations & Administration

  • Direct PMO Support: Assist the Lead PM function in the creation and management of comprehensive task lists, Action Item Registries, and meeting minutes.

  • Documentation & Governance: Collaborate with the Lead PM and Lead Engineer to develop Statements of Work (SOW), Task and Responsibility Matrixes (RACI), and staffing requirement plans.

  • Integrated Scheduling: Provide essential input for the development and execution of the total program schedule.

  • Work Breakdown: Assist in the creation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) tailored to contract scope and program goals.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lifecycle Management: Support concurrent design and deployment contracts at various stages of execution, ensuring seamless coordination between distributed teams of PMs, Engineers, and Service Technicians.

  • Strategic Alignment: Act as a bridge between technical execution and corporate strategy, ensuring tight alignment with Sales goals, strategic business plans, and customer relationship management.

  • Stakeholder Synergy: Maintain close working relationships with the Lead PM, Lead Program Engineer, Technical Service Manager, and Customer Service Manager (CSM).

Partner & Subcontractor Oversight

  • Scope Management: Assist in managing subcontractor and partner work scopes.

  • Performance Monitoring: Contribute to subcontract development and ongoing performance management to ensure third-party compliance with program standards.

Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000  USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of project/program management or similar business experience.
  • OR 5+ years of project/program management or similar business experience.
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.  Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
