Current Need:

The Enterprise Business Development Representative is responsible for generating prospect pipeline for the Provider Solutions field sales team as a key resource to the Business Development Directors. They will execute prospecting projects including but not limited to outbound calls, appointment setting, account & contact mapping, market research, data entry, target strategy, and content creation for prospect messaging. This individual will navigate various regional markets and specialties with their time being allocated and prioritized based on need and impact.Success in this role is defined by completion of assigned projects leading to enhanced Provider Solutions Business Development win rate.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outbound communication to Provider Solutions Distribution prospects to create pipeline through relevant intelligence gathering and booked meetings 

  • Research on Provider Solutions Distribution Prospects and their markets including but not limited to prospect profiles, contact mapping, relevant news, referral opportunities, etc. 

  • Management of data entry and reporting related to intelligence gathered and meetings booked 

  • Assist in the creation of prospect-facing content and messaging including but not limited to e-mail templates, call templates, and sequences

  • Develop and maintain a deep working knowledge of topics relevant to Provider Solutions prospects through internal and external research, industry forums, QBR’s, etc.

  • Build close relationships with and supports Provider Business Development Directors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of business development experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

 

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of business development experience selling and reaching out to prospective customers 

  • 4+ years of sales development experience, preferably in healthcare 

  • Experience with the following sales platforms:  Outreach.io, Salesforce, and/or something similar

  • Team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction and remain accountable to set sales goals and objectives 

  • Collaborative 

  • Proficiency MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 

  • Proven success in driving outbound prospecting strategy and market intelligence 

 

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with the Outreach sales platform is critical

  • Experience with tools including Highspot, LinkedIn Navigator, etc. is highly preferred 

  • Record of success in a similar role 

  • Expertise related to previous work in relevant specialty markets and/or with community physician practices 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Home office environment

  • Occasional travel (up to 20%)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$74,200 - $123,600
