** Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Department/Position Description:
Facility Strategy and Solutions is ADUSA's center of excellence for e-commerce fulfillment, helping our local brands deliver best-in-class operational performance. Through data-driven planning and optimization of service levels, productivity, and capacity, we enable scalable growth across the rapidly expanding online grocery business.
This role will support our dynamic batching initiative, which transforms incoming e-commerce orders into optimized shopping batches that balance operational efficiency with customer urgency. The intern will be responsible for conducting validation testing, gathering associate feedback, and providing recommendations to enhance batching algorithms and overall performance.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with data sets to perform analysis and validation.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to gather feedback from associates and present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage testing activities, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reliable transportation is required to support weekly visits to the assigned store.

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Coursework or experience in optimization, simulation, or operations research.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, retail operations, or supply chain processes.
  • Experience conducting testing, quality assurance, or process improvement projects.

Individual cohort pay rates vary based on location, academic year, and position.
Non-Tech Roles:
ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $18.10 - $34.20
IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $20.00 - $37.80
