Exceptional writing skills, as demonstrated by a portfolio of two to three samples. Outstanding verbal communication skills, especially a talent for articulating ideas persuasively both one on one and in group settings. Outstanding information-gathering skills, particularly a knack for both listening carefully and, when necessary, probing deeply for communications objectives. First-rate analytical skills, a passion for accuracy and thoroughness, and a fervent appreciation for detail. Ability to stay organized while multi-tasking, comfort with last-minute change, and a high degree of on-the-job flexibility. Detailed familiarity with communication tools, including Microsoft Office and desktop publishing systems. Commitment to meet aggressive deadlines.

Expected Responsibilities:

Write crisp, concise, grammatically correct, readable copy. Effectively edit others work. Create copy for newsletters, posters, flyers, brochures, and other materials. Provide creative solutions to meet corporate communications objectives. Manage the review and approval process for each communication, assuring that changes are made and the proper process has been followed for routing, input, approval, and so on. Employ top-notch consultation, negotiation and leadership skills to achieve objectives. Assist with developing correspondence and other communication standards. Partner with application and infrastructure support areas to communicate planned structural changes to the impacted business and senior management

Qualifications

  • Currently a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program majoring in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Organizational Communications, or an equivalent writing-intensive experience.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications and marketing presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of PC-based application, such as MS Office.
  • Project implementation: event planning or communication plan implementation
