Director Sales, Cross Sell – Life Sciences
Location: Flexible (United States with preferred locations of Charlotte, NC, Woburn, MA, and Hamilton, NJ)

Reporting To: VP/GM, Life Sciences Vertical
Serving as a strategic commercial leader and trusted advisor, the Director leverages expertise in Life Sciences quality processes, regulated manufacturing environments, smart facilities, automation, AI, and enterprise software and hardware to develop executive relationships, expand customer value, and drive profitable growth across Honeywell's portfolio of software, services, automation, and recurring revenue solutions.
The role is accountable for sales performance, team development, strategic account growth, cross-business collaboration, and expansion of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within the Life Sciences market.
ResponsibilitiesLife Sciences Industry Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Digital Transformation functions.
- Develop growth strategies aligned to customer priorities including compliance, operational excellence, sustainability, productivity, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
- Lead customer transformation initiatives that connect quality systems, manufacturing operations, digital technologies, and facility infrastructure.
- Position Honeywell as a strategic partner supporting modernization of regulated Life Sciences environments.
- Maintain strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies impacting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and research organizations.
Quality, Manufacturing & Building Solutions Expertise
- Drive opportunities across the three core pillars of Life Sciences operations: Quality Excellence, Manufacturing Excellence and Smart Building & Facility Performance
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Life Sciences quality processes, including CAPA, Deviations, Change Control, Audit Management, Training, Complaint Management, Document Control, and Data Integrity.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance through automation, connected operations, industrial software, analytics, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Support customers in optimizing facility operations through building automation, environmental monitoring, energy management, cleanroom performance, security, and sustainability solutions.
AI, Automation & Digital Transformation
- Lead executive-level discussions related to Automation, Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Intelligent Workflows, and Digital Transformation.
- Apply a consultative approach focused on data optimization, process optimization, and measurable business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled technologies to improve compliance, productivity, asset performance, decision-making, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with Honeywell business units to deliver innovative software, automation, and connected solutions aligned with customer transformation objectives.
Sales Leadership and Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization focused on strategic growth within Life Sciences accounts.
- Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, opportunity coaching, performance management, and succession planning activities.
- Develop team capabilities in consultative selling, enterprise account management, SaaS sales, and cross-functional solution selling.
- Ensure consistent execution of CRM, sales processes, forecasting disciplines, and commercial operating mechanisms.
Enterprise Growth and Account Management
- Develop and execute account-based growth strategies for key Life Sciences customers and prospects.
- Expand relationships between executive and operational stakeholders.
- Increase customer share of wallet through cross-selling and integrated solution strategies.
- Guide complex enterprise sales pursuits involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and solution portfolios.
- Drive customer engagement focused on long-term value creation, digital transformation, and operational improvement.
Cross-Sell and One Honeywell Leadership
- Lead enterprise opportunities combining Process Automation, Industrial Automation, Building Technologies, Cybersecurity, Software, Services, and Digital Solutions.
- Champion the One Honeywell strategy by aligning resources across businesses and functions.
- Partner with Product Management, Customer Success, Marketing, Services, and Commercial teams to develop differentiated customer value propositions.
- Facilitate executive sponsorship and alignment for strategic pursuits.
- Ensure teams position Honeywell as a business transformation partner focused on customer outcomes rather than standalone products.
Business Performance Management
- Own achievement of orders, revenue, profitability, ARR growth, and strategic performance objectives.
- Maintain forecast accuracy and healthy pipeline coverage.
- Drive disciplined opportunity management, qualification, and sales execution.
- Monitor business performance indicators and proactively address performance gaps.
- Deliver business reviews and growth plans to senior leadership.
Must Have
- Deep understanding of Life Sciences industry, related quality systems, regulated manufacturing processes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Industrial Automation, Building Technologies, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation platforms.
- Knowledge of AI, Automation, Intelligent Workflows, Analytics, and enterprise software solutions.
- Demonstrated success utilizing a consultative sales methodology focused on process improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven business transformation.
- Proven success engaging senior executives and leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within highly regulated industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
The annual base salary range for this position is $220,000-$320,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
