About Social Driver:

Social Driver is a leading communications and digital agency that partners with top brands, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to create impactful campaigns, engagement strategies, and digital experiences. We believe in the power of partnerships, storytelling, and community-driven solutions to move people and organizations forward.

We are seeking a Director of Digital Strategy & Web Partnerships to serve as a senior digital leader focused on leveraging technology, web strategy, and digital ecosystems to scale Social Driver’s impact across client initiatives. This role will work in close partnership with the Director of Engagement Strategy & Partnerships, Project Management, and cross-functional teams to develop data-driven, user-centric, and technically sound digital solutions that power movement-building, engagement, and organizational transformation.

About this Position:

The Director of Engagement | Web, UX, & Digital Strategy serves as the primary client leader, strategic advisor, and digital partner to mission-driven organizations, B2B brands, and industry-leading organizations seeking transformative digital experiences. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with proven experience shaping digital strategy, UX excellence, and technical solutions that power growth and innovation.

This is a peer role to the Director of Engagement — Strategy & Partnerships. While that role leads clients focused primarily on messaging, partnerships, communications, and coalition-building, this role leads clients whose primary needs are technical, UX-driven, and rooted in digital platform optimization.

You will also work directly with internal Web Studio leaders across Website Strategy, Brand & UX, and Website Development. Each client project has an assigned project manager who you will closely coordinate with to ensure the work remains aligned to timelines, scope, and budgets.

Whether leading a full-scale redesign, a web modernization effort, or a multi-year website maintenance relationship, this Director ensures client goals are translated into clear digital strategy — and then into successful internal execution. The ideal candidate combines deep digital acumen with excellent client leadership, the ability to guide internal teams, and a consultative, proactive approach to platform performance and innovation

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Digital Strategy

  • Serve as the strategic lead and trusted advisor for clients with digital-first or web-centric needs.
  • Guide clients through discovery, strategic planning, execution, and long-term evolution of websites and digital platforms.
  • Lead strategic conversations encompassing UX/UI design, content strategy, platform development, technical integrations, and digital analytics.
  • Translate business goals into clear digital briefs, internal assignments, and strategic guidance to internal teams.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction, proactively manage risk, and drive forward retention and growth opportunities.

Web Leadership & UX Strategy

  • Oversee complex web redesigns, UX enhancements, platform modernizations, and sophisticated web initiatives.
  • Lead UX strategy, information architecture, accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and SEO improvement.
  • Shape and manage strategic web maintenance programs that extend beyond technical support, focusing on measurable digital growth and innovation.

Platform Integration & Technology Strategy

  • Provide strategic counsel and oversight for client implementations using platforms like Webflow Enterprise, WordPress, Salesforce, HubSpot, and advanced analytics solutions such as GA4 and Looker.
  • Lead integration strategy and planning for CMS, CRM, analytics dashboards, advocacy tools, and marketing automation systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to define technical scope and implementation plans aligned with client objectives and user experience.

Internal Collaboration & Delivery Oversight

  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively across project management, design, content, development, and analytics teams to ensure strategic alignment and flawless delivery.
  • Provide clear direction and strategic oversight for internal briefs, creative direction, and sprint planning.
  • Develop scalable internal processes, best-practice playbooks, testing frameworks, and performance-tracking methodologies to support sustained client success.

Strategic Growth & Digital Vision

  • Help shape Social Driver’s digital service evolution, including defining new client-focused offerings for web optimization, UX improvement, analytics, and ongoing strategic web maintenance.
  • Stay current with industry-leading web trends, data privacy standards, accessibility compliance, digital analytics advancements, and innovative platform solutions.
  • Represent Social Driver’s expertise externally and internally, contributing thought leadership and elevating the agency’s reputation as a premier digital partner.

Success in this Role

  • Increase client retention and satisfaction by establishing and delivering strategic, scalable digital solutions
  • Successfully launch and scale complex website redesigns, UX projects, and multi-year digital growth strategies.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in client website performance, stakeholder engagement, SEO visibility, and overall analytics.
  • Enhance Social Driver’s industry position and client satisfaction through exemplary strategic counsel and exceptional digital results.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of senior experience in digital strategy, UX, technical consulting, or web engagement leadership at an agency or mission-driven organization.
  • Deep familiarity with CMS platforms including Webflow and WordPress, CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, EveryAction), analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Looker), and marketing automation systems.
  • Demonstrated track record leading large-scale web redesigns, platform modernizations, and long-term strategic digital relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices, user experience principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), information architecture, and digital performance optimization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and proven experience managing high-level client relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Aptitude to translate complex technical requirements into strategic direction easily understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrated success driving client digital evolution and growth, and an ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams.
  • Excellent personal project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in presentation software (Google Slides), project management tools (e.g., Asana) and time tracking software.
  • Soft skills: A successful candidate is curious, collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable thriving in a mission-driven, high-performing culture. They possess a solution-oriented mindset, exceptional listening skills, and high emotional intelligence when navigating client relationships and internal collaboration.
