Institutional Client Segment

What you’ll do: 

As a Director of Client Portfolio Management for our Institutional Client Segment you will own the portfolio solutioning process for Ethic’s Institutional business. You will spend time with Ethic’s Institutional clients (Institutional Consultants, Endowments, Foundations) to understand their sustainability & investment objectives and partner with Ethic team members on implementation of portfolios. In addition to this, you will facilitate on-going portfolio reviews and provide updates to clients on their portfolios. 

More specifically you will:

  • Consult with institutional clients on investments they are interested in and present investment opportunities.
  • Deeply understand clients needs and successfully communicate Ethics value proposition and products.
  • Proactively monitor Institutional accounts that Ethic manages and conduct portfolio reviews.
  • Partner with our portfolio managers, client operations & trading teams to deliver a flawless client experience.
  • Work through complex portfolio management proposals and understand the trade offs between investments and sustainability. 
  • Work with our Creative Team, Compliance Team, Investments Team, Sustainability Team and Growth Team to create materials that clearly communicate Ethic’s offering & philosophy.
  • Oversee the execution of ongoing account service requests in a timely fashion, ensuring advisors have a great experience.
  • Cultivate strong client-centric relationships in order to accelerate the transition to sustainable investing.
  • Continuously develop your in-depth understanding of Ethic’s technology, approach to sustainability, and portfolio management process in order to better serve our consultant clients.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhancing the client experience.

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • 8- 10 years of experience in a client facing role at an asset management or investment management firm
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize 
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solving skills & curiosity
  • Strong knowledge of equity investments, portfolio management, financial planning and sustainable investing
  • Experience working with institutional investors
  • A demonstrated passion for sustainability issues 
  • A demonstrated ability to take ownership of your work while effectively collaborating

Exceptional candidates may also bring the following:

  • CFA designation
  • Experience managing and coaching others
  • Experience with taxable assets

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits. 

The base salary will range from $125,000-$175,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a competitive variable compensation package.
