About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking four Technology Business Systems Consultants within the Payments Operations organization.
As a Technology Business Systems Consultant within Payments Operations Monitoring and Support (POMS), you will serve as a key subject matter expert supporting Wells Fargo's Automated Clearing House (ACH), Electronic Commerce Services (ECS) and/or Instant Payments platform and related applications. This role is responsible for leading complex research, incident investigation, and production issue resolution in partnership with Technology, Platform Support, Operations, and Product teams. You will analyze system behaviors, identify root causes, assess client and operational impacts, and drive timely resolution of production events while helping ensure the stability and resiliency of critical payment processing functions. The position also serves as a trusted partner in support of client escalations, operational readiness, product enhancements, and business continuity activities.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a deep curiosity for solving complex problems, the ability to navigate across multiple organizations, and a passion for improving processes that support some of the industry's largest and most critical payment networks.
In this role, you will:
  • Evaluate moderately complex business problems and provide technical assistance in identifying automated systems and related procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
  • Review and evaluate moderately complex technical, customer, and business problems
  • Present recommendations for resolving business problems
  • Exercise independent judgment
  • Provide information about communication between business and technology teams
  • Work with business user groups to provide training, handle questions, observe user needs, and document results
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Operational support background
  • Production environment experience
  • Experience in technology support roles
  • Knowledge of EDI - Electronic Data Interchange
  • Knowledge of instant payment processes (Venmo, Zelle, RTP, FedNow, etc)
  • Knowledge of ACH processes
  • Experience supporting Mainframe applications
  • Knowledge of file formats (IDOC, JSON, NACHA, HTML, etc)
  • Experience researching and applying business knowledge to strategic plans
Job Expectations:
  • Monday - Friday: ability to work a shift between the hours of 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM ET, requires flexibility for overtime and coverage as needed
  • Must be willing to work rotational on-call shifts as needed and cover weekend business validation exercises as scheduled.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring 3 full days in the office (8 hours a day) and 2 full days remote.
  • Ability to work on-site at the posted work location
