JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for working in conjunction with Team Members to service clients by maintaining ongoing relationships with those clients through continued stewardship, account rounding, and assistance during the client renewal process.  Additionally, the role supports new business efforts by assisting with quoting, onboarding, and delivering an exceptional client experience from the initial point of contact forward.

  2. Assists in achieving department and company goals by performing assigned job functions in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Demonstrates strong communication skills through the use of effective verbal and/or written exchanges, active listening and respectful response.
  4. Provides the highest level of customer service to clients within a book of insurance accounts with an eye for proper documentation and organization.
  5. When needed to perform functions associated with servicing an account, follows established agency workflows with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.  In this capacity, must have excellent computer skills with the ability and willingness to learn new systems.
  6. Builds strong relationships with potential and existing clients to identify and meet their insurance needs including rounding the account with other lines of business as applicable.
  7. Maintains confidentiality of all information related to clients, carriers, or as appropriate, other information.
  8. Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform job functions.
  9. Strives to increase knowledge and/or enhance skills through continuing education.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however, those with more years of experience may mentor those with less experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and other devices.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear all day.  The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hand to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Hours may vary depending on department and scope of work assigned.

Travel

Occasional, local day travel is expected for this position, with rare overnight travel required for educational and other business purposes.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Insurance License.
  3. 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Associates or Bachelors degree from college or technical school.
  2. Specific industry designation
