I am one of many working parents at Flatiron, with three kids ages four and under. Flatiron Health provides flexibility for employees to set their own schedules. This allows me to start my day earlier than most of my peers and block my calendar during school pickup. My team accommodates by scheduling meetings within my designated working hours. This alone has such a positive impact on my quality of life. I can fully engage in my career at Flatiron Health without missing out on the quality time I get with my children between school pickup and bedtime.

The remote culture here is really great because Flatiron has invested significantly in the remote part of the hybrid experience. While it varies from team to team, the teams I’ve worked with have consisted of about one-third remote employees, and those in NYC tend to go into the office 2-3 days per week so our culture is pretty hybrid-friendly. I always feel completely looped into conversations and have a great connection with my teammates through Zoom meetings and occasional trips to NYC to meet up and collaborate with everyone in person.

One of my favorite benefits about working at Flatiron is hybrid work. Since I can be intentional on when to collaborate in-person, I feel motivated when I come into our NYC office. Being able to stay home on days when I need to focus or just stay in the comfort of my space makes me feel like I'm in an environment that supports me and my working style.
