Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Webmaster to oversee Telestream's corporate websites-currently a mix of static HTML and WordPress-with a longer-term goal of consolidating all sites into WordPress. This is a full-time role responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our web properties while supporting timely product updates, marketing content changes, and new page development.


The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both technical and content-focused tasks, communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, and proactively identifies and addresses issues before they impact site performance or availability.


Requirements

Responsibilities:


  1. Website Maintenance & Content Updates:
  • Update product release information and related documentation across all domains in collaboration with Product Management and IT.
  • Build or modify pages based on marketing and product team needs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or WordPress.
  • Maintain content across the sites-including copy changes, blog posts, and image updates- and modify page designs as needed, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and branding alignment.
  • Direct and manage external contractors, vendors, and agencies supporting web projects
  1. Technical Maintenance & Site Health:
  • Perform regular WordPress core and plugin updates.
  • Conduct speed tests and implement optimization measures to improve site performance.
  • Monitor and maintain site security; perform monthly security checks and patch vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct browser and device compatibility testing to ensure a seamless user experience.

3. Analytics & Conversion Tracking

  • Set up and monitor conversion tracking via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Track user interactions across websites and optimize pages for performance based on data insights.
  1. Website Migration Support
  • Support and contribute to the project migrating all websites from static HTML to WordPress.Maintain uptime and content integrity during platform transitions

Qualifications:

  • Must be US-based and able to work during US business hours.
  • 5-10+ years managing and maintaining corporate websites.
  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Proven expertise in classic ASP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience in WordPress and related plugins.
  • Experience with maintaining and optimizing mobile-responsive websites.
  • Familiarity with site speed optimization, security checks, and quality testing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and meet deadlines for real-time updates as required.
  • Experience sourcing and managing contractors,consultants, vendors and agencies.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Comfortable operating on tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience with chatbot deployment and configuration.
  • Familiarity with website analytics and reporting platforms.
