In this role, you’ll lead when it matters most: guiding teams through real‑time production events, driving resilience across IAM platforms that support enterprise consumers, advisors, and investors, and shaping a next‑generation, human‑in‑the‑loop agentic approach to incident detection, investigation, and resolution.

Job Overview

This VPII, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Production Reliability & Agentic AI role is a pivotal leadership position within LPL’s Identity & Access Management organization, accountable for the real‑time reliability, resilience, and uptime of IAM platforms serving the firm’s enterprise ecosystem.

The role combines hands‑on production leadership including ownership of high‑severity incident response with a forward‑looking mandate to design, deploy, and govern AI‑assisted and agentic capabilities that continuously improve stability and operational outcomes. By transforming incidents into learning systems, this leader helps evolve IAM reliability from reactive response to proactive prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Own IAM production reliability and uptime outcomes across LPL IAM platforms; establish and manage measurable availability, recovery, and stability objectives.
  • Personally lead major IAM production incidents and outages, serving as incident commander for high‑severity events and ensuring rapid restoration and clear executive communication.
  • Translate lived production experience into architectural and operational improvements that strengthen system resilience.
  • Design, build, deploy, and govern agentic AI capabilities that monitor signals, investigate events, and recommend mitigations while maintaining strong human accountability.
  • Institutionalize learning from failure through rigorous post‑incident reviews that feed engineering backlogs and AI model improvements.
  • Lead IAM modernization initiatives across identity lifecycle management, authentication, privileged access, and governance automation.

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences and thrive in fast‑paced, high‑accountability environments. Our ideal candidates pursue greatness, act with integrity, and are driven to help our clients succeed. We value leaders who embrace continuous improvement and contribute to a culture where we win together and create and share joy in our work.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience owning uptime, resilience, and incident outcomes for mission‑critical IAM or security platforms.
  • 5 or more years IAM domain expertise, including identity lifecycle management, authentication, privileged access management, and cloud identity.
  • Experience converting operational incidents and risk into systemic resilience and automation improvements.
  • Experience applying AI or advanced automation in production environments with appropriate governance and controls.

Core Competencies

  • Major incident leadership with calm, decisive execution under pressure.
  • Demonstrated executive influence and cross‑functional leadership in complex enterprise environments.
  • Reliability engineering and systems‑thinking mindset.
  • Human‑in‑the‑loop AI governance and accountability.

Preferences

  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience modernizing legacy identity platforms without sacrificing uptime.
  • Experience building or leading AI‑assisted operations or agentic systems.
