This is a senior product leadership role within the AI Business Solutions team, the product and impact arm of LPL’s Chief Data and Analytics organization. You will shape how AI is built, bought, governed, and adopted across the advisor ecosystem, working at the intersection of product, technology, risk, and the field.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of AI Business Solutions, this role owns the end‑to‑end lifecycle of advisor‑facing AI products, from opportunity identification and pilot design through enterprise rollout, adoption, and value realization. The scope includes AI capabilities LPL builds internally, third‑party tools the firm licenses or integrates, and guardrails that enable advisors to safely use or connect their own AI workflows.

Success in this role requires strong product judgment, comfort operating in regulated environments, and the ability to lead through influence in a four‑in‑a‑box model with Technology, Business, Operations, Risk, InfoSec, and Privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and roadmap for advisor‑facing AI across prospecting, financial planning, investment management, client servicing, and practice operations, prioritizing by advisor pain points, time savings, and client outcomes across IBD, RIA, hybrid, and institutional channels.

  • Own build, buy, or rent decisions for AI capabilities, evaluating internal development, licensed solutions, and API‑based access, documenting rationale and revisiting decisions as technology and market conditions evolve.

  • Lead third‑party AI evaluation and sanctioned access, owning the catalog of approved tools and advisor access pathways, in partnership with InfoSec, Privacy, Procurement, and Compliance to ensure identity federation, data loss prevention, NPI/PII protection, and FINRA‑compliant recordkeeping.

  • Define secure integration models for advisor‑built AI, establishing product guardrails and working with Platform Engineering and InfoSec on APIs, credential lifecycle management, monitoring, and access revocation.

  • Design and execute pilots, with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and exit criteria, and lead commercialization and phased enterprise rollout for successful solutions.

  • Own priority advisor journeys, including onboarding, discovery, ongoing reviews, rebalancing, advice delivery, and compliance, maintaining a product backlog tied directly to measurable business impact.

  • Partner closely with Technology, co‑defining product requirements, data contracts, evaluation telemetry, and service‑level objectives, and aligning with Platform Engineering on intelligence‑layer signals and the Strategic Data Foundation.

  • Ensure governance and compliance readiness, achieving RAIC approval for every AI product—built, licensed, or advisor‑introduced—and partnering with Data Science Solutions on risk‑tier routing, LLM evaluation, audit trails, and model oversight.

  • Drive adoption and value realization, leading rollout, training, and feedback loops with field leadership, tracking usage and outcomes, and reporting progress and impact to executive stakeholders.

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal candidates pursue greatness, act with integrity, and are driven to help our clients succeed. We value leaders who embrace creativity, continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture where we win together and create and share joy in our work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Ten or more years of product management experience, including AI or automation products with measurable business impact.

  • Demonstrated experience taking products from pilot through enterprise adoption at scale.

  • Three or more years leading build‑vs‑buy evaluations or managing third‑party vendors in enterprise environments.

  • Strong financial acumen, including business case development and ROI tracking.

Core Competencies

  • Enterprise product leadership with accountability for outcomes.

  • Knowledge of agentic AI patterns and responsible AI practices in regulated environments.

  • Strong partnership with engineering, security, privacy, and compliance teams.

  • Experimentation discipline, including validation and stopping work that does not deliver value.

  • Executive‑level communication and influence in matrixed organizations.

  • Prior experience shipping AI in FINRA or SEC‑regulated contexts, including model risk and audit readiness.
