About the Role
Eleven Media is looking for a creative Video Editor to turn original stories into engaging short-form and long-form videos for The Daily Net. The role involves working with producers to shape raw footage, interviews, and scripts into polished videos that hold attention and deliver emotional impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit original short-form and long-form videos from raw footage through final delivery.
- Work with producers to shape story structure, pacing, emotional impact, and visual flow.
- Select the strongest interviews, sound bites, footage, music, and visual moments for each story.
- Add graphics, captions, transitions, sound design, and other elements that strengthen the video.
- Adapt videos for different platforms, formats, aspect ratios, and audience behaviours.
- Ensure every video reflects The Daily Net’s voice, tone, visual identity, and quality standards.
- Use only approved footage and assets, maintaining correct attribution where required.
- Manage revisions and deliver final videos accurately and on schedule.
- Review performance data and audience feedback to improve future edits.
- Stay current with editing styles, platform trends, competitor content, and new creative tools.
- Communicate clearly with producers and other teams throughout the editing process.
- Remain flexible for timely stories, including occasional weekend work when required.
What You Will Need
- Strong experience editing short-form and long-form digital videos.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
- Experience working with interviews, contributor footage, voice-overs, music, graphics, and captions.
- A strong understanding of social platforms, video formats, audience retention, and content packaging.
- Good visual judgment and attention to detail across picture, sound, graphics, and text.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple edits, respond to feedback, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Flexibility to support timely stories and occasional weekend production when required.
