Team Overview:
The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team partners with businesses and enterprise leaders across BlackRock to drive long-term, margin-accretive growth. Within F&S, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team serves as a trusted partner to businesses across the firm, leading budgeting, forecasting, and business planning, while developing the financial frameworks, performance metrics, and strategic insights that guide decision-making. Operating at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution, FP&A works closely with senior leadership to assess growth opportunities, evaluate cost and revenue drivers, and advance high-impact initiatives that shape BlackRock’s long-term direction.
The team is a valued and integral part of the firm’s management function, offering broad exposure, senior influence, and the opportunity to help drive the financial success of the firm.
Position Overview:
This Vice President role serves as a senior FP&A partner to BlackRock’s Active Fixed Income platform, leading multi-year planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives that support business growth and performance. Working closely with investment leadership and partners across Finance & Strategy, the role translates business priorities into financial plans, performance targets, and progress tracking. The successful candidate will help shape executive decision-making by developing financial frameworks, leading high-impact initiatives, and delivering clear, actionable insights on growth, investment, and business performance. This is a high-visibility opportunity for a strategic finance professional seeking to work closely with senior leaders and influence the direction and performance of one of BlackRock’s most important investment platforms.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the FP&A partner to Active Fixed Income senior leadership, supporting strategic planning, business performance management, and decision-making
Lead the development of growth plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial frameworks aligned with business priorities and long-term firm objectives
Translate strategy into actionable financial targets, investment priorities, and execution plans
Build and maintain robust financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by bringing together financial expertise, market awareness, and competitive insight
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Controllers, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, and other Finance teams, to advance key initiatives and manage the business effectively
Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
7–10+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, preferably within asset management or broader financial services
Strong interest in markets and investing, with Fixed Income knowledge or experience preferred
Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence senior stakeholders through written materials, presentations, and verbal communication
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and driving outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex issues and develop practical, high-impact solutions
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance business processes
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required; familiarity with IBM Planning Analytics and Microsoft Power BI is a plus
