Leidos Commercial and International Sector is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Vice President of Growth and Strategy for the Energy Infrastructure and Automation (EIA) Business Area.

The selected individual will report to the Senior Vice President of Growth to lead and manage a geographically dispersed workforce supporting the mission of the EIA Business Area.  The EIA Business area has core competencies in power grid engineering to include distribution, transmission and substation engineering and design; grid modernization; utility planning and consulting; energy management and efficiency; technical and financial consulting; technology-enabled innovation and software and application development; and IT-OT integration.

Primary Responsibilities

The Growth VP will lead a team of Account Managers, Business Developers, Strategy and Capture professionals and is responsible for developing and establishing relationships between the customers, strategic partners and across the entire company.

Duties include identifying, developing, and implementing near-term and long-term business strategies that drive revenue growth and margin expansion for the company. 

  • The individual will lead a team that wins new business with current and future energy customers  
  • This position requires a deep understanding of the customers and the energy utility market.
  • The individual may have other business development activities, such as investigating and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, geographic expansions, licensing, partnerships, joint ventures, new business/market opportunities and sustainability to determine if such activities are in line with the organization's overall strategy and vision.
  • The individual is also responsible for the allocation of apportioned resources between existing and new businesses and continuously monitors the market to keep track of competitor developments and their impact on market share. 
  • In this role you will identify gaps and emerging requirements, perform market and economic analysis, conduct business intelligence, design and execute formal sales plans, and monitor competitor activity.
  • You will develop the overall Growth Strategy, as well as internal and external partnerships, campaigns and associated Energy Infrastructure marketing for the Business Area.
  • You will lead with a team of Growth professionals, including capture managers, Growth leads and Growth analysts, in achievement of the Business Areas short and long-term business development goals.
  • You will drive a robust pipeline of opportunities and execute cost-effective win strategies to achieve annual financial objectives.
  • Work closely and partner with the P&L organization to ensure growth objectives are met and alignment is achieved.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years related Growth experience including leading business development teams
  • Proven experience in developing and growing a large portfolio with positive book-to-bill (>1) and sustained year over year growth
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead large and diverse teams while growing and developing people
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to create, establish mutually beneficial relationships internal and external to Leidos
  • Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • College Degree and 15+ years of professional experience
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers in the Group and across Leidos

Pay Range:Pay Range $216,800.00 - $348,750.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
