Sabre's Legal team is seeking an intellectually curious compliance leader with deep regulatory and compliance program management experience.  The role requires a strong leader with vision and passion to build and transform the organization for the future.

The Vice President – Compliance is a key leader responsible for strategic direction and oversight of the global compliance and ethics function at Sabre.

This is a unique opportunity to continue the elevation and evolution of the compliance function at a dynamic, global technology company  and make a significant impact across the organization.

This leader will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to mitigate risk, drive and support a culture of integrity, and guide the organization through complex compliance or enforcement matters.

 Key Responsibilities:
 Strategic Ethics & Compliance Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a global comprehensive compliance program to align to corporate strategy and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership on compliance matters and best practices to senior management and the Board of Directors.   
  • Establish clear performance indicators and objectives for measuring ethics & compliance effectiveness.
     

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those involving hotline reporting and investigations, export controls, sanctions, anti-bribery, ESG, AI, third-party risk management, government contracting, and ethics.
  • Proactively monitor regulatory developments and shifts in the legal and compliance landscape and make strategic program recommendations and updates.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate compliance and operational risks.
  • Oversee compliance audits, investigations, and remediation plans.
     

Program Development and Implementation

  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Design and oversee company-wide training, engagement and communication strategy for compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain a global concern reporting system; ensure prompt and robust investigation of concerns raised and appropriate follow-up and discipline.
  • Design and implement compliance monitoring and auditing.
     

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on compliance performance, emerging risks, and corrective actions taken.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews with external auditors.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build, lead and continue to develop a high-performing compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to Sabre sales, marketing, and product development teams to address compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, People Team, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment and support for program requirements throughout the company.

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and JD required.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in an in-house legal or compliance role, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of effective global corporate compliance and ethics programs.
  • Proven ability to manage global compliance programs in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Experience navigating compliance issues involving hotline reporting and investigations, export controls, sanctions, anti-bribery, ESG, AI, third-party risk management, government contracting, and ethics.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in responding to regulatory inquiries and managing enforcement actions.
  • Experience within the technology industry, especially B2B, as well as payments and digital exposure.
  • Experience within the technology industry preferred, especially SaaS.

  • Ability to influence and provide timely and effective legal and business advice and support at all organizational levels.
