Role Overview
  • We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks) to join one of our US-based clients and turn engineering ideas into designs that don’t just look good on screen—they work in the real world.
  • Sitting at the intersection of mechanical engineering, product design, and manufacturing, you’ll use SolidWorks to transform concepts, sketches, existing drawings, and physical samples into accurate 3D models and production-ready technical documentation.
  • And this isn’t just a draw-what-you’re-given role. You’ll assess fit, function, materials, tolerances, and manufacturability, identify potential design issues, and recommend practical engineering improvements before problems make their way to production.
  • You’ll begin with a 60-day, 100% remote contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent onsite position in Eastwood, Quezon City.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
  • Produce production-ready engineering and technical drawings.
  • Apply dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Revise existing CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Maintain accurate design revisions and engineering documentation.
  • Reverse engineer products from sketches, drawings, and physical samples.
  • Develop alternative design concepts and engineering improvements.
  • Perform mass calculations and basic engineering assessments.
  • Review assemblies for fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Identify potential design and manufacturing issues.
  • Support multiple mechanical design projects and meet project deadlines.

Requirements
Required Qualifications (Must-Have):
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product design, or a closely related engineering environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience creating detailed 3D CAD models.
  • Experience producing detailed engineering and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of dimensions and tolerances.
  • Understanding of manufacturing specifications.
  • Experience revising CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with reverse engineering.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong engineering problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret design intent and technical requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and engineering accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
  • 3–5+ years of product or mechanical design experience.
  • Experience developing alternative design concepts and design improvements.
  • Experience assessing assemblies for fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Experience identifying design risks before production.
  • Experience working with US-based or international engineering teams.
