Responsibilities:
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following activities and responsibilities:
Planning/Strategy
- Drives the development, planning and execution of integrated global product line strategy including asset, technology & brand to deliver against KPIs (ensures the health of the product line today & in the future).
- Responsible for the development/refresh of the 5 year NWC & growth Capex plan for the product line, and reconciliation of any conflicts with product line cash goal.
- Drives variable cost productivity and assessment of competitive cost position and industry S/C ratio.
- Sets quality standards, COGS/COM targets.
- Collaborates with Procurement to develop raw material and product purchase/swap strategy.
- Collaborates with Sales/Marketing to set service level, lead time, MOQ consistent w/ overall strategy.
- Collaborates with Marketing to develop global market plans of current products to current segments.
- Ensures balance between supply & demand across the full 5-year strategic view.
- Sets global priority for supply (make/buy) to regions, segments and customers in consultation with Global Supply Chain Planner.
Product Portfolio
- Drives global SKU optimization and rationalization.
- Accountable for development and maintaining global product specifications and datasheets.
- Ensure plant MOC process aligns with market needs and customer requirements.
- Allocation decisions (creates principles for allocation).
- Provide business guidance on Global Inventory Management.
- Oversees long-term market trends in quality, identifies product lines where quality improvement is most critical, and makes strategic recommendations to improve overall product quality.
- Raise potential sustainability issues for the product line and work with PS&R to develop the advocacy/ stakeholder engagement plan including CRC commitments.
- Monitors execution of R&D programs and ensures consistent with priorities set for product line.
- New product development – sponsors the stage gate process for product line programs to insure a solid business case for all development. Elevates timing and resource issues.
- CIBM – Own Step 1 (Product Review) and provides Input on demand changes from new SKUs and SKU rationalization. Participates in Step 3 (Supply Review) and Global Demand Reviews.
- Collaborates with marketing to develop value propositions for product lines.
- Responsible for approval for product samples.
- Sponsors and prioritizes Change to Business Process required for new products launches, new packages, new supply chain flows, new Contract Manufacturing sites, etc.
- Serves as the Business lead for annual product specification reviews at the operating sites.
- Customer visits for specific items that require GPM involvement.
Pricing
- Sets regional and/or global product floor pricing consistent with overall product line strategy.
- Responsible for transfer prices with JV’s and internal Chemours.
KPIs
- Opteon™ global and regional variable margin.
- Quality Improvement & Performance.
Candidate Profile
To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- 3+ years of business/marketing/commercial background with customer-facing experience.
- 3+ years of Operations, Contract Manufacturing, or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience).
- Bachelor/master’s degree with a preference for Engineering, Business Management or Technology.
- Strong business acumen and leadership communication skills. Connects and integrates well with global and regional business teams.
- Analytical skills and ability to make confident, fact-based, decisions and acts on decisions with a sense of calculated risk-taking.
- Forecasts issues in advance to prevent potential impacts; both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated written and oral skills – ability to present information and ideas in an articulate and organized way to a variety of audiences and levels.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills; ability to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organization while creating/maintaining a respectful work environment.
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills to drive programs to completion, take initiative, overcome obstacles, find creative solutions, set priorities, and deliver against goals.
- Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development.
- Ability to travel internationally 20% of time.
- Ability to work 10-15% of time across all time zones.
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across all levels of an organization.
- Experience in direct sales
- Microsoft Office software with strong capability in Excel and Power Point.
