About the role:
We are seeking a highly driven and technically strong engineer to lead the deployment, optimization, and performance management of our TrueCapture Control System and Navigator software solutions across utility-scale renewable energy sites.
This role sits at the intersection of controls engineering, data analytics, field operations, and product innovation. You will play a critical role in ensuring successful system deployment, maximizing site performance, and driving continuous product improvement.
This is an opportunity to directly impact energy production outcomes while working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Software, R&D, EPC partners, and customers.
What You’ll Do
System Deployment & Optimization
Lead end-to-end deployment of TrueCapture and Navigator systems across project sites.
Configure site-specific control parameters and ensure seamless integration with onsite NX SCADA systems.
Partner with Network Engineering, Technical Services, and Field Teams to execute hardware installations, firmware updates, and software upgrades.
Analyze drone flight data and system performance metrics to optimize control strategies and maximize energy yield.
Technical Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
Own issue identification, tracking, and resolution through full closure.
Drive major bug fixes, feature enhancements, and system improvements in collaboration with Engineering, Software, and Product teams.
Provide structured field feedback to accelerate automation initiatives and improve control tools.
Support measurement and verification activities tied to energy generation guarantees under customer contracts.
Cross-Functional & External Engagement
Serve as the technical interface with customers and EPC partners during planning, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate global internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure flawless execution across multiple concurrent projects.
Support development and performance management of drone and sensor service providers, ensuring quality, responsiveness, and cost control.
Conduct site visits as needed to ensure deployment excellence and performance optimization.
Operational Excellence
Implement Business System Intelligence initiatives to improve KPIs, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Support performance evaluations and maintain oversight of contractual performance obligations and associated payment milestones.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Control Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Project Engineering or a similar technical deployment/field engineering role preferred.
Experience in Controls Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or Data Analytics is a plus.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving and solution design capabilities.
Experience with control systems, performance modeling, automation, or RPA is highly desirable.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and performance dashboards (Power BI or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio.
Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional, global environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with customers, EPCs, and internal technical teams.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons.
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 (This salary range is specific to California).
