About Compound

Compound Planning is a digital family office and tech-enabled RIA managing more than $4 billion for high-net-worth founders, early employees, executives, professionals, and families. The firm combines modern technology with deep expertise to help clients manage their entire financial lives all in one place — from investments and taxes to estate planning and equity compensation.

What we’re building has been recognized by Financial Advisor Magazine in 2024 and 2025 as one of America’s Top RIAs and 50 Fastest Growing RIAs. We’ve also been featured in publications such as Barron’s, Forbes, Citywire RIA, and more.

About the role

As the Transition Manager, you support advisors in achieving speed-to-ownership, compressing the time from LOI to funded accounts and moving as many assets as possible, as quickly as possible, without compromising accuracy or compliance. You do not process transfers; you own the scoreboard, cadence, and momentum — keeping every account visible, every next step clear, and advisors focused on the highest-leverage actions. You’ll be the connective tissue between advisors and internal teams, ensuring the right work happens, fast.

Success looks like: shorter LOI → asset flows, higher/increased day-30/day-90 AUM conversion, disciplined advisor activity, and a clean, daily view of households converted and dollars moved.

What Motivates You (How You’ll Work)
  • You turn long account lists into a crisp march-to-done—what gets measured gets moved.

  • You motivate without micromanaging: nudge, don’t nag—and the work gets done faster.

  • You love clear goals, visible dashboards, and tight cadences.

  • You partner naturally—advisors, Ops, Compliance, Tech—so blockers die quickly.

  • You value accuracy and client trust while refusing to let speed stall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pipeline & Scoreboard Ownership: Maintain the real-time master list of accounts/households, stage, owner, and blockers from LOI through day-90+. Publish daily/weekly progress and goals.

  • Advisor Activation & Cadence: Run focused 1:1s and stand-ups with advisors; set weekly outreach targets and conversion goals; keep priorities ruthless and time-boxed.

  • Prioritization & Sequencing: Pull AUM forward—prioritize top households, ACAT-eligible accounts, and quick wins; stage outreach waves; align with Ops on batching and cut-offs.

  • Enablement & Materials: Provide templates, call scripts, client email sequences, and checklists that make it easy for advisors to convert households quickly and cleanly.

  • Blocker Busting (in Partnership with Ops): Capture and clear blockers; coordinate escalations with Ops/Compliance/Custodians; track SLAs and aging—you drive the follow-through, Ops does the processing.

  • Intake Quality & Handoffs: Ensure packages are complete and clean before they hit Ops; reduce rework by enforcing simple standards at the front door.

  • Reporting & Insight: Own dashboards for AUM moved, households converted, outreach completion, ACAT/transfer aging, and average days to fund; use data to target bottlenecks and adjust plans.

  • Advisor Experience: Keep advisors confident and focused—anticipate questions, provide rapid answers, and keep the path to ownership obvious at all times.

  • Continuous Improvement: Iterate cadences and playbooks based on conversion data and advisor feedback; sunset steps that don’t move the needle.

What We’re Looking For

(These are ideal—please apply even if you don’t check every box.)

  • Program/Cadence Leader: Proven at running tight weekly rhythms that move numbers, not just meetings.

  • Accountability & Coaching: Comfortable setting goals, inspecting activity, and motivating action—especially when multiple advisors are transitioning at once.

  • Conversion Mindset: Track record accelerating advisor-led transitions with measurable lifts in day-30/day-90 conversion and time-to-first-funded.

  • Data-Fluent & Dashboard-Driven: Strong CRM/reporting chops; you live in lists, filters, and pivot tables to keep focus sharp.

  • Influence Without Authority: You align advisors and internal partners around the same goals and SLAs.

  • RIA Context (Working Knowledge): Familiar with custodial transitions and compliance considerations—enough to spot issues and coordinate—but you’re not the one processing transfers.

  • Communication: Crisp, proactive updates; simple, client-friendly language; clear asks and follow-through.

  • Ownership & Integrity: High bar for accuracy and client trust while moving quickly.

What It’s Like to Work at Compound

Compound operates with integrity, communicates with transparency, and takes accountability seriously. You’ll work closely with high-performing colleagues across functions — who hold themselves, and each other to a high bar. It’s a culture built for people who want to move fast, build something that lasts, and thrive as part of a team aligned around a shared mission.
