About Compound

Compound Planning is a digital family office and tech-enabled RIA managing more than $4 billion for high-net-worth founders, early employees, executives, professionals, and families. The firm combines modern technology with deep expertise to help clients manage their entire financial lives all in one place — from investments and taxes to estate planning and equity compensation.

What we’re building has been recognized by Financial Advisor Magazine in 2024 and 2025 as one of America’s Top RIAs and 50 Fastest Growing RIAs. We’ve also been featured in publications such as Barron’s, Forbes, Citywire RIA, and more.

About the role

As the Transition Manager you will own and elevate the advisor journey from initial recruitment through successful transition and integration. The role is equal parts process architect and trusted relationship manager - automating workflows, creating structure where gaps exist, and stepping in as the go-to project manager and connective tissue between our internal teams and advisors. With you in the seat, Advisors will feel supported, understood and confident in their decision to partner with Compound.

What Motivates You (How You’ll Work)
  • You thrive in structured chaos— building process is as exciting to you as running it.

  • You get energy from being the steady hand: the person others rely on when things feel overwhelming or complex.

  • You naturally look for ways to simplify and automate, removing friction before anyone else even notices it.

  • You find success through advisor success—knowing your work directly impacts their confidence in joining and thriving at Compound.

  • You’re a connector: you know how to bring people, information, and systems together seamlessly.

  • You find satisfaction in getting it right the first time, but you’re quick to adjust when new solutions emerge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advisor Onboarding: Own the entire advisor transition timeline, from LOI through the first 90+ days, delivering white-glove service and serving as the single point of contact for all stakeholders.

  • Advisor Transitions: Lead transition efforts as advisors migrate books of business, platforms, or client relationships into the Compound ecosystem.

  • Process Design & Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and refine onboarding and transition processes for efficiency and scalability.

  • Project Management: Track and drive milestones across teams (ops, compliance, tech, people) to ensure timely and successful advisor launches.

  • Advisor Relationship Management: Provide clear, empathetic communication, answering questions and resolving issues throughout onboarding and transition.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate deliverables, remove roadblocks, and deliver a seamless advisor experience.

  • Quality Assurance: Anticipate advisor needs, spot gaps early, and proactively deliver solutions that reinforce trust in Compound’s model.

What We’re Looking For

(These are ideal—please apply even if you don’t check every box.)

  • RIA Operations Expertise: Deep understanding of RIA/wealth management operations, including account transfers, custodial processes (Schwab/Fidelity), and compliance requirements is preferred.

  • Advisor-Facing Experience: Comfort in speaking with advisors directly, answering questions, and guiding them through onboarding and transitions.

  • Process-Driven: Skilled at building and managing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and applying structure where needed.

  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Detail-Oriented & Empathetic: Ability to balance precision and process with a thoughtful, advisor-first mindset.

  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with CRM, project management tools, and workflow automation software is a plus.

What It’s Like to Work at Compound

Compound operates with integrity, communicates with transparency, and takes accountability seriously. You’ll work closely with high-performing colleagues across functions - who hold themselves, and each other to a high bar. It’s a culture built for people who want to move fast, build something that lasts, and thrive as part of a team aligned around a shared mission.
