   Position Overview:

 

Accountable for implementation, execution, and delivery of training programs aimed at growing revenue and profit for the commercial organization. The Training Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Sales Effectiveness and collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and various cross-functional stakeholder partners to create and deliver training programs that will improve the knowledge and skills of the audience specific to the role. 


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Serve as classroom facilitator for new hire onboarding, product training, and ongoing skill development sessions.
  • Execute training at national and regional meetings, virtual sessions, and field- based programs.
  • Support the Field Sales Trainer Program by partnering with field trainers to deliver consistent onboarding and skill building sessions, and ensuring content and tools are up to date to enable high quality field-based learning.‑building sessions, and ensuring content and tools are up to date to enable high‑quality field‑based learning.
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using established materials, tools, and learning methodologies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Outset Medical products, with a focus on functionality, workflows, and clinical applications.
  • Build a working understanding of sales processes to support realistic, credible training delivery.

Training Content Execution & Maintenance

  • Partner with SMEs and Instructional Designer to update, maintain, and refine existing training content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment to product updates and business needs.
  • Ensure all training materials, images, and program content accurately reflect current product and commercial processes.
  • Contribute feedback and recommendations to program owners on content enhancements or learner experience opportunities.

Program Coordination & Logistics

  • Work with Training Coordinator to support the planning and coordination of training sessions, including scheduling, communications, materials preparation, and LMS assignments.
  • Track learner participation, assessments, certifications, and training completion using designated tools and systems.
  • Support reporting of learner progress, speed-to-competency, and training effectiveness metrics.‑to‑competency, and training effectiveness metrics.
  • Identify common learner gaps and share insights with the Senior Manager of Sales Effectiveness and SMEs to drive content/experience improvements.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with learning standards, documentation requirements, and established processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in training, sales, or clinical/sales education in medtech, healthcare, or related field. Dialysis experience preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and build strong internal partnerships.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in content and delivery.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track progress and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with LMS platforms, virtual facilitation tools, and standard digital training platforms preferred.

$128,350$173,650 USD
National Salary Range
$109,098$147,603 USD
