The Technical Leader will oversee the design and analyses of steam turbine components, mentor engineers, manage projects, and ensure quality and efficiency in cross-functional teamwork.
Job Description SummaryGE Vernova: Leading A New Era of Energy
Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority. If we want our energy future to be different, we must be different. That is our mission. Steam Turbines are one of GE Vernova’s core products for clean energy generation. When used in combined cycle plants they enable the achievement of upmost efficiency and power. Whether the plant operates on liquid or gaseous fuels, carbon neutral e-fuels or hydrogen, steam turbines significantly drive decarbonization. While steam turbines themselves are CO2 free they also enable combine cycle plants to add carbon capture capabilities.
Our engineering team develops and designs those highly efficient turbomachines and seeks new talents to join. Latest engineering sciences and disciplines integrated with digital technologies are key competencies we are looking for. New joiners will enjoy a highly empowered team working across the entire product lifecycle.
Are you interested in being part of the GE Vernova team Leading A New Era of Energy? Do you like having full ownership of a critical technology across the full lifespan? Is a position of Technical and Leadership growth limited only by your imagination and initiative appealing? Maybe a position in our Steam Turbine Engineering team is for You!
The Steam Turbine Engineering team develops and designs highly efficient turbomachines through the latest engineering sciences and disciplines integrated with digital technologies.
The Steampath Technical Leader within the Steam Turbine NU REQ. Engineering team has the full design lifecycle ownership for the steampath calculation / methodology and component technology on Requisition Projects. The Steampath Technical Leader will work in strict collaboration with his counterpart in the Core Team, and will interface with other teams such as structures, rotor, thermodynamics, rotodynamic teams, manufacturing, and the people on site, playing a central role in the timely and successful execution of projects worldwide. The primary task is to own the stationary (nozzle) & rotating (buckets) blading Design and the rotor calculations for combined cycle steam turbines on Requisition projects. This is a critical role demonstrating ownership, accountability, and implementing LEAN to achieve continuous improvement and improved customer outcomes.
