Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the migration of multiple legacy systems into a single J2EE web application
- Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the application to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs
- Lead code reviews and allocation of development staff across new project development, defect management and production support
- Lead design sessions within the development team and serve as development point of contact for requirement analysis and estimation
- Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities
- Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
- Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE
- 3+yrs leading a team of developers
- Strong understanding of Spring, Spring MVC
- Web Services Experience (REST)
- Strong background working on projects using Agile methodologies
- Experience with TDD methodologies
- JPA or ORM experience
