If you have deep hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and its core components (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite), this role is your chance to drive customer success at scale. As a Technical Adoption Manager (TAM), you will serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers, helping them deploy, adopt, and optimize their VCF environments. You'll work closely with Solution Architects, Account Directors, and Engineering teams to ensure customers realize the full value of their VMware investments. This role is perfect for experienced VMware architects, engineers, and consultants who want to move into a strategic, high-impact position.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months?

During the first year, you will onboard into the TAM role and work with your assigned customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring best-in-class execution and recommending improvements in customers' operations to drive adoption and consumption of their investments:

  • Develop customer roadmaps and structured success plans based on their technical and business goals.

  • Conduct technology assessments, deployment guidance, and best practices reviews to optimize operations.

The Work: What will you be doing?

As part of the Technical Adoption Manager team, you will be responsible for long-term engagements with assigned customers. Your role is to help them rapidly achieve their desired business outcomes while using VMware by Broadcom technology. You will collaborate with the broader team as you:

  • Leverage your experience in customer-facing positions (e.g., TAM, Solution Engineer, IT Consultant, Professional Services, or Enterprise IT team).

  • Apply hands-on expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) components including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Operations, Aria Automation, Aria Operations for Networks, Aria Operations for Logs, etc.

  • Utilize a TAM playbook, delivery kits, and tools to drive adoption and consumption.

  • Create Success Plans with objectives and tasks aligned to customer business goals.

  • Deliver technology roadmaps & assessments focused on achieving desired business outcomes.

  • Provide Solution Guidance & best practices to identify optimization opportunities.

  • Optimize operations to ensure alignment with customer technology priorities.

  • Present and communicate effectively with CxO-level executives and technical teams.

  • Work as an integral member of the account team, collaborating closely with the Account Director and Solution Architect to align strategy, drive adoption, and ensure customer success.

  • Collaborate with Broadcom project teams including consultants, engineers, product managers, and support staff.

  • Engage with partner resources to align on customer success needs and outcomes.

  • Track customer plans, adjusting as needed to drive them to completion.

  • Contribute to the global TAM community, sharing best practices and experiences from the field.

What is the leadership like for this role?

Leaders in the TAM organization prioritize account collaboration, team success, focusing on delivery excellence, career growth, and the expansion of the TAM business. They provide guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to help team members excel. The TAM team is customer-focused, working to deliver strategic business outcomes rather than just activity. Our culture is built on:

  • Collaboration – We share best practices and support each other.

  • Customer-first mindset – Success is measured by customer achievements.

  • Diversity & inclusion – A strong, unified team with a wide range of perspectives.

  • Innovation & impact – Helping customers unlock maximum value from their VMware solutions.
