Our National Tax Office team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Partner to join our growing M&A and tax transaction team.  The Partner will play a crucial leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax-related matters and M&A activities.

What work you’ll be responsible for:
  • Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize tax efficiency.

  • Provide expert advice on federal income tax issues, including structuring, planning, and risk management.

  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization and its clients.

  • Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure deals and transactions tax-efficiently.

  • Provide strategic guidance on post-merger integration and restructuring to maximize tax benefits.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and M&A advice.

  • Conduct client meetings and presentations to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and understandably.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, guiding them on technical matters and professional development.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

  • Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced degree (e.g., JD, LLM, MBA, or MST)

  • 12+ years of tax experience, with a significant focus on M&A transactions. 

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal

  • Proven track record of leading tax structuring for complex transactions.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
