The Opportunity
As a Tax Japanese Business Network Intern, you will engage with our Tax practice, navigating the complexities of the global tax landscape. You will support our dedicated tax professionals in optimizing tax strategies, minimizing risks, and seizing opportunities to drive compliance and maximize client outcomes. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, supporting teams with basic tasks, and participating in projects. This role emphasizes the importance of developing your personal brand while observing and contributing to the team's success.

Responsibilities
- Supporting tax teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documents
- Assisting in the analysis of tax data to identify potential tax savings and compliance opportunities
- Participating in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance projects
- Engaging in tax research to provide accurate and up-to-date information on tax laws and regulations
- Collaborating with team members to draft and prepare tax documents for clients
- Contributing to the development of tax strategies that align with client goals and regulatory requirements
- Observing and learning from experienced tax professionals to gain insights into tax consulting practices
- Applying data analytics skills to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of tax reporting processes
- Supporting the Japanese Business Network in delivering tailored tax services to entrepreneurial and private businesses
- Demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning about tax structures and policies
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in Japanese and English
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
