Job Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Join our team as the Supervisor - Inside Sales. In this role you will collaborate with the Inside Sales Representatives and Outside Sales to strategically align customer values with Vallen solutions and services. Provide team vision for sales and margin growth within ISR group and provide training related to skills for ISR role. Conduct monthly performance reviews and fill in for ISR as needed.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Performance
    • Monitor and report to your team monthly sales and margin dollar performance, provide guidance on gm% erosions
    • Ensure Price rolls are being conducted timely and manager price matrices and approve overrides
    • Measure and report individual sales and margin growth performance for each ISR
    • Highly service and task oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
    • Monitor customer satisfaction regarding quote turnaround, follow up and escalation as needed and review with outside sales team for ISR performance and customer satisfaction
    • Monitor segment performance through working of daily, weekly, monthly required reports
    • Provide new target accounts as needed to ensure continued SOW growth and follow up weekly
  • Training
    • Monitor and provide training needs related to inside selling skills for the ISRs
    • Provide appropriate product supplier and customer engagement training
    • Ensure ISRs attend monthly QBRs with outside sales team as applicable and provide ISR reporting updates
  • EB Growth
    • Ensure all ISRs are engaging with the EB team
    • Provide EB growth performance monthly to the ISR team and provide conversion opportunities

Staff Management Responsibilities:

Immediate supervision over a unit, section, or department where the majority of the time is spent assigning, reviewing, checking work and eliminating ordinary difficulties. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews, and applies company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years inside sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to interface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in person. Able to handle difficult customer situations with diplomacy.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. A
