Project Manager – SubstationLocation: Eden Prairie, MN | Hybrid | Remote
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $125,000 – $165,000 (based on experience)

We’re seeking a Project Manager – Substation to lead the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of substation design projects. This role blends technical leadership, client collaboration, and project management to drive high-quality results across multidisciplinary teams.
What You’ll DoDevelop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Oversee quality control, ensuring deliverables meet internal and client standards.
Coordinate across disciplines to maintain alignment on goals, deadlines, and design criteria.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients — ensuring timely, clear, and consistent communication.
Support proposal development, including scope, design criteria, and schedule input.
Lead project documentation efforts, maintaining organized and accurate project records.
Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals, ensuring project documentation reflects current status.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field required.
Proven experience managing substation or related engineering projects from design through delivery.
Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other drafting or project tools.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software such as Ajera and Monday.com.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Direct project leadership experience in power delivery, substation, or utility design environments.
Experience overseeing cross-discipline coordination between civil, structural, electrical, and protection & control teams.
Familiarity with client-facing project management, including budgeting, billing, and schedule tracking.
