BAE Systems Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) is looking for an experienced and results-driven Instructional Developer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This is an exciting opportunity play a critical role in creating engaging and effective learning experiences for project delivery teams and internal customers. We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize their technical writing and instructional design expertise to develop innovative learning solutions that align with business objectives and foster continuous learning. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have a background in writing, graphic design, training design and development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for adult learning and knowledge transfer.
In this job, you will:
  • Create engaging and written materials, interactive learning solutions, including digital learning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), micro-learning, videos, and supporting documentation.
  • Design activities and assessments that promote hands-on and experiential learning.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather content, review technical information, and translate complex topics into clear and concise materials.
  • Analyze content and learning needs by conducting needs assessments and audience analysis to identify learning objectives and appropriate strategies.
  • Author, maintain, and update varying materials such as: online courses, utilizing real-time training evaluation data to inform ongoing maintenance and design needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in graphic and instructional design and digital learning to continually enhance the effectiveness of learning solutions.
  • Proactively revise content as the company products and internal processes evolve.
  • Develop and maintain PMO SharePoint and ensure services are documented to guide PMO stakeholders in effectively navigate and leverage available services, templates, and learning materials.
  • Provide consulting services in development of training and communications for of large, high change impact projects and programs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our Learning Management Systems (LMS), including its features, functionality, and best practices
  • Configure and manage courses, modules, and other learning content within the LMS

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
4+ years' work experience with Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to a wide range of audiences.
  • Proficiency in utilizing virtual training delivery and facilitation tools, including Articulate, Vyond, Canva, Camtasia, and similar technologies.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design concepts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio or samples of previous instructional design work showcasing a variety of learning solutions and multimedia assets.
  • A passion for continuous learning and stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in instructional design and e-learning
  • Experience supporting Project Management and Information Technology training and development preferred.
  • Experience with LMS maintenance, including troubleshooting, updates, and optimization

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
