RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Enrollment Strategy

  • Lead marketing efforts on behalf of Elevation College.
  • Represent Elevation College at events, conferences, Elevation Nights, and other ministry gatherings.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up systems for prospective students and parents.
  • Partner with the Enrollment Director to ensure housing, financial aid, and academic onboarding align with enrollment milestones.

Student Housing & RA System

  • Design and implement a dynamic and spiritually forming student housing experience.
  • Recruit, onboard, and lead the RA team (7).
  • Create and implement housing policies that balance safety, accountability, and community.
  • Handle all disputes, HOA interactions, and student life issues related to housing.
  • Maintain high standards of care, discipline, and restorative practices when managing student conduct.

Community and Culture

  • Develop opportunities for students to connect outside the classroom through clubs, intramural sports, social events, and student-led initiatives.
  • Plan and lead student experiences including travel, retreats, community service days, and campus traditions.
  • Collaborate with the College Pastor to integrate community into the weekly rhythm of student life.
  • Oversee monthly student experiences and quarterly outreach events.
  • Ensure students have meaningful, fun, and spiritually enriching experiences beyond the classroom.
  • Build a strong brand and identity for Elevation College Student Life through events, experiences, and creative storytelling.
  • Oversee internal communication channels for student life (updates, newsletters, apps, student announcements).

Retention

  • Monitor student morale and retention patterns, creating proactive strategies to keep students engaged.
  • Serve as one of the consistent pastoral and relational leaders—visible, accessible, and trusted.
  • Collaborate with staff to celebrate student wins and support students through challenges.
  • Maintain confidentiality, emotional maturity, and discernment in sensitive pastoral situations.
MUST-HAVES
  • Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)
  • A demonstrated commitment to spiritual disciplines and Christian leadership (prayer, scripture engagement, living out Elevation’s Code).
  • Proven experience leading young adults, students, or emerging leaders.
  • Ability to pastor and shepherd individuals through diverse spiritual and emotional needs.
  • Strong conflict-resolution and mediation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, emotional maturity, and pastoral discernment.
  • Alignment with Elevation Church’s theology, values, culture, and leadership expectations.
NICE-TO-HAVES
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment or ministry setting
  • Experience living in or overseeing residential/student environments (housing, camps, dorm leadership, RA systems).
  • Background or training in counseling, pastoral care, student development, or social work.
  • Experience planning large-scale events, retreats, or student programs.
  • Familiarity with Elevation’s ministry model, culture, and weekend execution.
  • Experience supervising volunteers, student leaders, or part-time staff.
  • Crisis management experience or first-aid/CPR certification.
  • Strong administrative or project-management skills.
DAY-TO-DAY
  • We’re a Sunday-Thursday work environment.  Monday-Thursday, we’re in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we’re supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
  • There’s a lot to accomplish each week, so we’re pretty fast-paced.  We’re also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
  • Yes, we work hard.  But we’re good at playing hard, too.  We’re a creative staff, so there’s no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!
