About this opportunity:
Ericsson is hiring a Strategy Analyst Intern in Plano, Texas, within its North American Strategy & Technology organization. The intern will analyze markets, competitors, customers, network performance, business scenarios, emerging technologies, and growth opportunities.
The role offers hands-on experience in strategy, market intelligence, and Strategic Business Advisory. Interns will collaborate with strategy, technology, sales, business development, and technical teams to turn complex information into actionable recommendations for Ericsson's growth and competitive positioning.

What you will do:
  • Analyze market, customer, competitor, technology, and business-performance data to identify patterns, opportunities, risks, and implications for Ericsson.
  • Research emerging solutions, use cases, industry players, and customer needs to help identify new growth opportunities, potential customers, and areas for market expansion.
  • Build Excel models, scenario analyses, benchmarks, charts, and other analytical tools to support business planning, investment cases, go-to-market decisions, and strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to market intelligence deliverables, including competitor assessments, market sizing, trend analysis, customer profiles, and executive-ready insight summaries.
  • Help structure complex or ambiguous business problems, formulate hypotheses, gather relevant evidence, and synthesize findings into clear conclusions.
  • Develop concise presentations and written materials that turn complex information into an engaging story for business and technology stakeholders.
  • Create reusable templates, dashboards, research approaches, and insight assets that help the team work faster and scale its impact.
  • Participate in workshops, interviews, and working-team meetings; help prepare agendas, capture decisions, track actions, and support project execution.
  • Use approved AI, analytics, and productivity tools responsibly to accelerate research and analysis while maintaining accuracy, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Build professional capabilities through apprenticeship in structured problem solving, data analysis, visualization, project planning, stakeholder collaboration, and executive communication.

You will bring:
  • A strong academic record while pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • A highly analytical mindset and genuine curiosity about how technology, markets, customers, and business models interact.
  • Demonstrated personal drive and a record of pursuing ambitious goals in academics, athletics, student organizations, employment, or other activities.
  • The ability to break down unfamiliar problems, work with incomplete information, and develop structured, fact-based recommendations.
  • Strong quantitative skills and comfort working with data; experience with Excel modeling, charts, and scenario analysis is expected.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Word is also expected.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or other data and visualization tools is a plus, but not required.
  • A collaborative, proactive working style and the ability to build effective relationships across functions.
  • Interest in telecommunications, wireless networks, AI, cloud, emerging technologies, or the broader role of connectivity in society.

Eligibility requirements:
  • 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
  • Available for a full-time internship for 12 weeks.
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the internship
