Summary

The Solutions Architect is Temporal’s primary customer-facing technical leader within the Enterprise team (East). In this role, you will work directly with prospects and customers, guiding teams through technical evaluation, architecture, and implementation considerations, and helping them successfully adopt and expand production usage of Temporal over time.

You’ll partner closely with Account Executives to support both land and expand motions, owning key technical relationships and helping position Temporal against alternative technologies and architectural patterns.

What You’ll Do

  • Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
  • Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
  • Strong grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
  • Proven ability to guide customers through complex architectural decisions, including application patterns and platform design.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans across both new opportunities and expansion.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and the application and infrastructure services commonly used in enterprise production environments.
  • Experience serving as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, helping scope opportunities, identify technical risks, and navigate complex evaluations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Reside within the Eastern time zone (United States)
  • Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
  • Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
  • Strong grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
  • Ability to provide clear guidance on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
  • Ability to serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, helping scope opportunities, identify technical risks, and navigate complex evaluations.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000.
  • This is the total compensation, including the base salary and variable role, with a 70/30 split.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
