Own the strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s agent primitives. Research agent-builder needs, translate customer and community signals into platform abstractions, and partner with engineering and design to ship and iterate technical products. The role requires deep technical fluency in distributed systems, workflow orchestration, reliability, scalability, and AI agent workloads.

Own Temporal’s social media presence across brand channels, including editorial planning, content creation, publishing, community engagement, launch support, workflow coordination, and performance analysis. The role partners with Developer Relations and creative teams to translate technical content into platform-native stories, uses AI and automation to improve production, and establishes measurement, governance, and channel-growth strategies.

Leads and scales Temporal’s global Deal Desk function, overseeing complex deal structures, pricing exceptions, approval workflows, CPQ governance, consumption-based pricing, international commercial frameworks, and revenue recognition considerations. Partners across Sales, Finance, Legal, and GTM Operations; drives AI-enabled workflows, reporting, playbooks, and scalable processes; and builds and develops a globally distributed Deal Desk team.

Owns Temporal’s marketing operations function, including attribution, funnel measurement, lead scoring, routing, MarTech systems, campaign execution, and BDR pipeline processes. The role leads a marketing operations team and agency, migrates Marketo to an AI-native platform, builds agentic workflows, governs data privacy and system reliability, and partners across Marketing, Sales, Data, and Analytics to improve developer adoption, pipeline, and revenue.

Leads Temporal’s global Field Operations organization across Sales, Technical Services, and Partners. Owns operating cadence, forecasting, pipeline visibility, territory and quota planning, capacity modeling, partner operations, TAM analysis, performance insights, reporting standards, and process automation. Manages regional and functional operations leaders, partners with executive stakeholders, and establishes AI-native practices across the field organization.

Build and maintain reusable analytical data products, canonical entities, data marts, semantic layers, and governed metrics across business domains. Establish modeling, documentation, quality, lineage, and change-management standards; improve data reliability, self-service analytics, and production governance. Partner with Data Platform, Trust, Data Science, Applied AI, and business stakeholders on orchestration, observability, access controls, feature tables, model outputs, and shared metric definitions. Remain hands-on with SQL, Python, testing, code reviews, documentation, and technical coaching.

Drive product-led growth through rigorous analysis of onboarding, activation, adoption, retention, expansion, and monetization. Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales to design experiments, analyze funnels and cohorts, identify behavioral signals, build metrics and dashboards, improve instrumentation, and translate uncertain or incomplete data into actionable product recommendations.

Draft, review, and negotiate customer, procurement, vendor, reseller, marketplace, and technology agreements. Partner with Sales, GTM, and cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance, manage risk, and support business growth. Develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and scalable legal processes while helping maintain commercial legal infrastructure.

Lead the design and implementation of core Temporal server features across distributed systems, workflow execution, scheduling, persistence, visibility, and performance. Set technical direction, make reliability and operability improvements, partner cross-functionally, review designs and code, mentor engineers, and support open-source usability. The role requires extensive experience building production distributed systems, strong technical leadership, backend programming expertise, and operational experience with high-scale systems.

Lead AI agent optimization efforts by designing systems that improve token efficiency, response time, reliability, and output quality. Build agentic coding systems, develop AI application patterns, own features end to end, collaborate with engineering and field teams, support the developer community, and create public technical documentation. Work across Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go while serving as a domain expert in agent design and optimization.

Design, implement, and operate features for Temporal’s open source distributed systems server. Solve challenges involving scheduling, task processing, workflow execution, persistence, quotas, visibility, and performance. Improve reliability through testing, observability, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and documentation. Collaborate across engineering and product teams, participate in design reviews, contribute to developer experience, and mentor junior engineers.

Lead and grow a team building shared test systems, production-like environments, workload testing capabilities, failure-mode validation, and engineering test frameworks. Drive system-level coverage, cross-team alignment, measurable improvements in pre-production confidence, and integration of validations into continuous or release pipelines. The role requires strong distributed-systems expertise, internal platform delivery experience, organizational influence, and the ability to translate production incidents into preventative test coverage.

Secure Temporal’s development pipeline, product, and customer execution environments. Partner with engineering teams on secure architecture, threat modeling, risk assessments, code and software supply-chain security, vulnerability triage, Kubernetes hardening, multi-tenant isolation, and responsible AI security. Participate in on-call rotations and help establish actionable security policies and practices across the organization.

Lead initiatives that enable production-like system testing across engineering. Build realistic test environments, workload generation and replay, fault-injection tooling, shared testing frameworks, and continuous or release validation. Partner with infrastructure, reliability, release, and product teams to convert incident learnings into durable test coverage. Mentor engineers, influence testing strategy, and improve observability, debuggability, and operational readiness.

Own the end-to-end Temporal Cloud Namespace product lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, capacity management, placement, scaling, APIs, SLOs, and SLAs. Define differentiated offerings and policies balancing reliability, performance, residency, isolation, and cost. Partner with engineering, SRE, operations, and commercial teams to deliver scalable multi-tenant infrastructure capabilities and clear customer experiences.

Design, build, deploy, and support scalable distributed observability systems for internal developers and customers. Lead the software development lifecycle, develop and review designs, ensure testing and production readiness, investigate reliability and performance issues, participate in on-call support, and collaborate across teams to improve Temporal’s infrastructure and platform capabilities.

Own customer production readiness and activation for Temporal platforms, driving initial workflows into stable, scalable production. Establish reliability, observability, alerting, governance, and operational standards; resolve complex technical issues; manage technical risks, migrations, and architectural debt. Lead KPI-driven success plans, cross-functional delivery, technical reviews, training, and customer enablement while supporting adoption, renewals, and growth.

Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable backend systems supporting customer onboarding, account lifecycle management, billing, metering, marketplace integrations, revenue data synchronization, and customer-facing usage reporting. Build reliable distributed systems, data pipelines, and integrations while ensuring correctness, observability, compliance, and operational readiness. Partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering, provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and improve customer and developer experiences.

Own the product strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s self-hosted and hybrid deployment offerings. Lead improvements to installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, operational tooling, storage choices, multi-region and multi-cloud topologies, and Temporal Proxy. Partner with Engineering, Resident Architects, Security, Support, and customer-facing teams to translate enterprise requirements into reliable, operable infrastructure products, particularly for regulated and controlled environments.

Own strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s Core Primitives charter. Translate customer and developer signals into platform investments, partner with engineering and SDK teams across server, APIs, and Cloud, and improve developer experience, reliability, and production operations.
