What You’ll Do

CoreWeave is looking for an experienced Staff Product Quality Engineer to own quality strategy and execution for new compute hardware platforms from concept through volume production. This is a staff individual-contributor role for someone who can operate fluently across compute architecture, manufacturing process, and supplier quality — translating system-level requirements into concrete, testable, and auditable quality criteria at every stage of the product lifecycle.

You will be the quality voice in New Product Introduction (NPI), partnering with hardware engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and data center operations to ensure that compute hardware is designed, sourced, built, and tested to meet quality and stability targets at scale — before they ever reach a customer environment.

About The Role
  • Own the quality workstream across all NPI phases (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP), setting entry/exit criteria and go/no-go quality gates in partnership with program management.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews with engineering to catch failure modes before tooling and build.
  • Lead FMEA (design and process) for new platforms, prioritizing risk mitigation for high-severity, high-occurrence failure modes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and ODM/CM partners to specify test coverage, pass/fail criteria, and escape-rate targets for each test station.
  • Own Bill of Materials creation including structure, FRU definition, attribution, AVL, and component qualification.
  • Represent quality in cross-functional program reviews, providing data-backed readiness assessments to leadership.
  • Leverage deep working knowledge of the compute architectures being qualified to identify architecture-driven quality and reliability risks.
  • Partner with hardware and systems engineering to review schematics, layouts, and system architecture docs for quality and testability implications.
  • Translate architectural changes (new silicon, new topology, new form factor) into updated quality and test requirements.
Who You Are
  • 8+ years in hardware/product quality engineering, with meaningful time spent on server infrastructure hardware.
  • Demonstrated ownership of quality through at least two full NPI cycles from EVT through mass production.
  • Working technical fluency in compute architecture — you can read a block diagram, understand power/thermal/signal integrity trade-offs, and speak credibly with hardware design engineers.
  • Hands-on experience defining manufacturing test strategies (ICT, functional test, system-level burn-in) and driving test coverage decisions with CM/ODM partners.
  • Deep familiarity with core quality methodologies: FMEA, 8D/RCCA, and DOE
  • Experience managing BOM-level quality — component qualification, AVL/second-source strategy, and ECO impact assessment.
  • Strong data fluency: comfortable pulling and analyzing quality data (DPPM, yield, field return rates) to make and defend decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication; able to present quality risk and readiness clearly to engineering, supply chain, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Experience with high-density racks, liquid cooling, and hyperscale data center hardware.
  • Familiarity with industry standards relevant to compute hardware quality
  • Experience standing up or maturing product quality function within a fast-scaling hardware organization.
