About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong operational accounting expertise. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day operational accounting activities, assisting with monthly and annual close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings hands-on accounting skills, and can contribute to both process execution and continuous improvement.
You will:
- Support day-to-day operational accounting activities, including AP, AR, fixed assets, depreciation, and expense accruals, etc.
- Support preparation and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, HR, finance) to support business transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Compile budget-to-actual variance analysis for department heads.
- Assist with external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Help manage cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.
- Collaborate with team members on client billing activities, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with contract terms and reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in operational accounting processes and support best practice and automation initiative implementations.

You are:
- An analytical thinker and problem-solver.

- Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Highly detail-oriented and dedicated to quality and accuracy.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience using NetSuite and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets is preferred.
- Experience with RCM billings / medical claims management is a plus.
