About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Rula’s Internal Operations team. This team is responsible for Billing and Support workflows and works closely with internal stakeholders. As a member of this team you will be responsible for building and maintaining the platform and features across these domains. For the Billing side - automating and streamlining billing processes for patients, providers and insurance. For the Support side - building features in the internal Ops Tool to allow support agents to assist our clients.

We, as a team, are focused on doing things well and building reliable, scalable solutions. We focus heavily on communication, and working as a team to solve problems.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Backend experience building modern database-backed (sql/no-sql) web applications.

  • Collaborative working style and bias to helping others in the team grow.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams.

  • Experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, technical specing, execution, and measuring success.

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • 4+ years of experience with our stack: Typescript, React, Node, Ruby, Python, Kafka.

  • Fullstack experience building modern database-backed web applications.

  • Previous experience in products with high reliability/accuracy requirements (finance, mission critical systems, etc.).

  • Strong sense of ownership and track record of delivering projects.

Compensation Range: $162.9K - $191.6K
