Sr QA Analyst, Game Studio

As a senior test professional, your hands-on approach, and innovative technical proficiency will have a significant impact on the oversight over QA for internal Netflix titles at Night School Studios. This role requires exceptional testing expertise, project and people management skills, and a deep understanding of how to get a game shipped.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a real passion for a positive user experience, the ideal candidate will work as an integrated member of a cross-functional team, participating in the design and execution of QA strategies and methods. 

This position requires the ability to lead a mix of internal and vendor QA staff assigned to your projects, meet business deadlines, and uphold the highest levels of quality.

Responsibilities

• Track Bugs and quality violations within our pipeline to ensure they are resolved

• Verify bug fixes and ensure that our database is up to date

• Work with engineering and/or development teams to identify requirements and develop test plans  

• Deep involvement in developing/identifying appropriate tooling and frameworks to support all testing efforts

• Define test coverage, creating and maintaining test cases, reporting test results, and evaluating readiness to ship throughout the software development lifecycle

• Provide qualitative feedback to development team regarding player experience and usability

• Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions

• UNderstand and keep up to date with our Game Requirements for Netflix (GRNs), devices, and our game designs and features

Requirements

• Passion for games with a commitment to quality

• Demonstrated experience in test planning for complex features/systems

• 4+ years of experience in testing (iOS / Android / Cloud/ Console)

• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and organization skills

• Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, be flexible, and thrive while focusing on the details, such as; spotting subtle problems, raising issues, and taking ownership of the solution.

• Expert knowledge of technical requirements, tools, and processes

• Experience with Xcode and ADB, using IPAs/APKs, and pulling device logs

• Experience translating requirements into effective test cases

• Proficiency with Atlassian Products or a similar defect-tracking software

Bonus Skills

• Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master and/or Product Owner, ISTQB

• Coding Knowledge: XML/HTML, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++/ C#, SQL

• Experience with Continuous Integration system

• Experience with TestRail, and Test Case Management tools\

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $95,000 - $140,000.
