Overview
The Sr. Product Manager at SnapNrack plays a pivotal role in driving product innovation, shaping the future of our industry-leading solutions. This position is responsible for spearheading the development and execution of cutting-edge products that not only meet market demands but set new industry benchmarks. By leveraging deep market insights and strategic vision, this role ensures SnapNrack continues to expand its market share through breakthrough innovations and superior product offerings.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Vision:
Present new ideas to company executives to grow revenue and remain ahead of our competitors.
Create business cases to justify developing product lines.
Explore strategic partnerships where applicable to expand our product offering.
Maintain a product roadmap to increase awareness of product development efforts.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Own all SnapNrack product lines from ideation through end of life. Execute growth initiatives for current products and future opportunities.
Prepare cost analyses on the development of new products.
Effectively build project plans based on priorities, setting clear, measurable objectives and deploying team resources appropriately to achieve business goals.
Ensure that every phase of a project proceeds as scheduled.
Communicate key milestones and dates to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage product transitions to eliminate supply gaps between outgoing/incoming products.
Develop sales strategies to offload obsolete inventory.
Internal / External Management:
Collaborate with key technology, engineering, and supply chain vendors, as well as customers, to bring products to life.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Applications Engineering, Sales, Design Engineering, and Operations, and other departments to ensure the success of our products and features.
All other projects / duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. MS or MBA preferred.
3+ years of experience in product management.
5+ years of solar experience required. Distributed solar experience preferred.
Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization in a remote environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, with ability to interpret technical documents.
Extensive Experience with Google or MS Suite, with strong analytical and presentation skills.
Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven.
Team player with experience working in a highly cross-functional organization.
Physical Demands
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work.
Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings.
Some travel required to collaborate with offsite working teams, external resources, key stakeholders, and customers.
