As a Sr Copilot Studio Engineer II, you’ll provide critical support and leadership for our business partners and other IT teams across all Pacific Life divisions. This is a hands-on developer role for an experienced Copilot Studio expert who can also serve as a consultative partner to business stakeholders. In this role you will lead design and delivery of enterprise-grade Copilot Studio agents and integrations, establish reusable patterns and standards, and help drive responsible adoption aligned to Pacific Life governance and SDLC practices.

How You’ll Help Move Us Forward
  • Lead design, build, and deployment of Microsoft Copilot Studio agents supporting enterprise business processes and automation use cases.
  • Own solution design for complex use cases, including multi-system integrations using Power Automate, APIs, data sources, and enterprise identity patterns.
  • Partner with business product owners, process managers, and SMEs to clarify needs, facilitate workshops, and translate requirements into scalable Copilot solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners—setting expectations, explaining tradeoffs, and presenting options in business-friendly terms.
  • Define and promote reusable prompts, topics, actions, and implementation patterns; contribute to platform standards, documentation, and runbooks.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to Pacific Life AI governance, SDLC controls, security, privacy, and risk management practices.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies covering functionality, performance, reliability, risk, bias identification, and user experience.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and citizen developers (as applicable).
  • Support adoption through demos, enablement materials, office hours, and stakeholder feedback loops.
The Experience You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in application development, automation, or AI/low-code solution engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio (required).
  • Strong experience with Power Platform technologies (Power Automate, Power Apps) and enterprise integrations.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance and act as a resource for colleagues; may lead functional teams or projects.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills—able to engage business partners with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Experience working within governed enterprise environments (SDLC, change management, security reviews).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity across cross-functional stakeholders.
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience designing copilots with responsible AI considerations (e.g., safety boundaries, grounding, evaluation, and monitoring).
  • Experience establishing standards/patterns and driving adoption across multiple teams.
  • Experience integrating with AI services and enterprise APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI, internal services) and supporting production-grade operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate working sessions and influence outcomes with both technical and non-technical audiences.
