About the Role: 

The Senior Manager, Software Development is responsible for leading multiple development teams delivering scalable, compliant, and high-performing software solutions within the healthcare technology space. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows, particularly within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems. The Senior Manager, Software Development partners with product, operations, and engineering teams to drive delivery, maintain technical alignment, and support continuous improvement across platforms. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage multiple software development teams, typically supporting 2 to 4 teams with 5 to 10 members each 
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for team members and team leads 
  • Drive Agile best practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives 
  • Ensure predictable delivery of high-quality releases aligned to product roadmaps and business commitments 
  • Guide teams on system design, integration patterns, and scalable application development 
  • Partner with architects and senior engineers to ensure technical consistency across platforms 
  • Align development efforts with healthcare regulatory requirements and RCM workflows 
  • Maintain working knowledge of claims processing, billing, remittance, and denial management systems 
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, presenting updates, risks, and strategy in a business-focused manner 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and client-facing teams 
  • Support team capacity planning, staffing alignment, and organizational priorities 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development or engineering roles 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple development teams 
  • Working knowledge of application platforms, APIs, and modern development practices 
  • Experience with healthcare systems or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in regulated healthcare environments with a focus on data integrity and compliance 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle practices 
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant discussions 
  • Experience with SMS, VOIP, or telephony platforms and vendors
