The Role
The Sr. Manager, License Management Operations & Lead Development is responsible for directly managing a team of Lead Development Analysts while overseeing operational reporting and performance analysis across the License Management organization.
This role will ensure the assigned analyst team consistently delivers accurate, well-researched, and sales-ready opportunities. The Manager will also provide the Vice President of License Management with reliable reporting, forecasts, and insights into the performance of the Lead Development, License Management, and License Audit teams.
Responsibilities
Lead Development Team Management
- Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of Lead Development Analysts.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Monitor analyst output, lead-processing times, backlog levels, quality, and acceptance rates.
- Balance workloads and priorities based on lead volume, backlog, and available team capacity.
- Ensure analysts consistently follow established lead-development, evidence, qualification, and sales-readiness standards.
- Identify individual and team performance barriers and provide the support, training, or corrective direction needed to improve results.
License Management Operations & Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards for the LeadDiscovery,License Management, and License Audit teams.
- Track key operational metrics, including productivity, throughput, backlog, aging, quality, pipeline contribution, audit progression, and outcomes.
- Produce recurring performance reports for the Vice President of License Management.
- Develop trend reports that compare historical performance, identify changes in efficiency, and highlight emerging risks or opportunities.
- Create forecasts for team output, lead-processing capacity, backlog levels, audit activity, and expected performance.
- Track and maintain visibility into the License Audit process, including audit stages, aging, outcomes, and process changes.
- Analyze operational data to identify blind spots, reporting gaps, bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and areas requiring additional attention.
- Maintain consistent metric definitions, reporting methods, and data standards across the License Management organization.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in business operations, sales operations, lead generation, analytics, quality assurance, or a related field.
- 2–4 or more years of direct people-management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams with measurable productivity and quality expectations.
- Experience creating dashboards, operational reports, trend analyses, and performance forecasts.
- Ability to identify patterns, reporting gaps, bottlenecks, and root causes within operational data.
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong proficiency with Excel or similar analytical tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data clearly to leadership.
- High attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business-intelligence or data-visualization tools.
- Familiarity with open-source software, software licensing, AGPL, or license-audit processes.
- Experience with lead qualification, research validation, or sales-development workflows.
- Experience connecting operational metrics to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
