As a Senior HR Generalist, you are a key strategic partner to the HR Manager, ensuring effective personnel management and fostering positive employee relations throughout the entire employee life cycle. You serve as the primary HR contact for candidates, supervisors, team leads, and employees within the division, ensuring that HR standards, policies, and programs are consistently implemented and maintained.
Your responsibilties:
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a senior sparring partner to the HR Manager, providing insights and recommendations on HR strategies and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Employee Life Cycle Management: Oversee all stages of the employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and manage the recruitment process. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process to integrate new hires effectively into the organization.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator for employees and management, addressing and resolving workplace issues, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure that HR policies, procedures, and programs are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the division. Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- Performance Management: Support supervisors and team leads in conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and developing performance improvement plans. Promote a culture of continuous feedback.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
- Compensation and Benefits: Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy implementation. Experience in a senior HR role or as a strategic partner to HR leadership is highly desirable.
- Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business success.
- Understanding of compensation structures and benefits administration.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Ability to develop, communicate, and enforce HR policies that comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve complex HR issues.
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Your Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are preferred and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to collaborate effectively with HR team members, managers, and other stakeholders. Ability to mentor and guide junior HR staff.
