JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the FP&A Corporate Team and will work closely with all team members of FP&A. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the Director, FP&A, he/she will be responsible for generating forecasts, performing analysis, reporting, and making an impact to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Corporate FP&A organization through performing analysis, report building, forecasting, planning and consolidating
  • Build and automate executive level reporting and dashboards, partnering cross-functionally
  • Prepare, review and analyze operating budgets and strategic plans
  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management
  • Research economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning
  • Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts
  • Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
  • Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A seasoned finance professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
  • Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectives
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree /Diploma and 3-5 years. May have Master’s / Graduate Degree and 2-4 years. Doctorate’s /Post-Graduate Degree and 0-2 years
  • 3+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience utilizing dashboarding tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) to create executive level reports
  • Comfortable analyzing large data sets via lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines
  • Experienced in analyzing and improving reporting processes
  • Able to work well with people across multiple functions
  • Ability to communicate/present to senior level managers and executives
