JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the FP&A Corporate Team and will work closely with all team members of FP&A. The Sr. Financial Analyst will report to the Director, FP&A, he/she will be responsible for generating forecasts, performing analysis, reporting, and making an impact to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Corporate FP&A organization through performing analysis, report building, forecasting, planning and consolidating
- Build and automate executive level reporting and dashboards, partnering cross-functionally
- Prepare, review and analyze operating budgets and strategic plans
- Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management
- Research economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning
- Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts
- Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
- Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A seasoned finance professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
- Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectives
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Qualifications:
- University Degree /Diploma and 3-5 years. May have Master’s / Graduate Degree and 2-4 years. Doctorate’s /Post-Graduate Degree and 0-2 years
- 3+ years of progressive finance experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience utilizing dashboarding tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) to create executive level reports
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets via lookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines
- Experienced in analyzing and improving reporting processes
- Able to work well with people across multiple functions
- Ability to communicate/present to senior level managers and executives
