Job Overview:

We are looking to hire a Data Engineer within our Technology organization. This position will be a key part of the development team, to support and build data models for Enterprise level integration projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate in Agile environment to build and deploy automated processes that populate a graph database used as part of the organizations metadata repo.

  • Work with analyst, end customers, and other technical resources to generate solutions from graph datasets

  • Design, develop, test and implement data pipelines based existing Informatica PowerCenter and SQL Server technologies.

  • Review existing pipelines for opportunities to tune, optimize and harden

  • Provide leadership to teammates through technical design, code reviews and implementation of best practices, adhering to LPL’s SDLC and RM processes.

  • Collaborate with other Development teams, Enterprise Architecture and Support teams to design, develop, test and maintain the various platforms and the integration with other systems.

  • Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product/project support

Requirements:

  • Experience in design and development of ETL using Snowflake Suite of Tools

  • Experience in developing scripts in a relational database i.e. SQL Server (TSQL and Stored Procedures) or Oracle using SQL/PLSQL

  • Experience in performance tuning (Snowflake DBT/Stored Procs)

  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Experience rolling out workflows through GitHub

Core Competencies:

  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile - Scrum experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Python

  • Snowflake Certification

  • AWS Glue, Airflow, Lambda

Pay Range:

$99,375-$165,625/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
