About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, tech-savvy, and highly skilled Senior Counsel, eDiscovery to join our dynamic legal team. This role will provide leadership across CrowdStrike’s eDiscovery program, supporting litigation, regulatory, employment, investigations, privacy, and legal operations matters. The Senior Counsel will play a key role in directing strategy, managing legal risks, and collaborating with outside counsel to design, negotiate, and oversee eDiscovery protocols for complex legal matters. You will be at the forefront of managing the full scope of the e-discovery process and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations in a fast-paced environment. The attorney will also need to be adept at incorporating the secure, sustainable and cost-effective AI capabilities into e-discovery workflows.
Additional Locations:
Ideal candidate would be based in Dallas or Phoenix, with some travel required.
What You’ll Do:
Prioritize the incorporation of AI into eDiscovery workflows to deliver better intelligence for pending matters sooner and significantly reduce traditional eDiscovery and document review costs.
Leverage legal technology and AI-driven tools to optimize eDiscovery workflows and reduce costs.
Negotiate, design, and direct eDiscovery protocols in collaboration with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
Lead eDiscovery strategy in support of litigation, regulatory inquiries, government investigations, and internal investigations.
Provide counsel and direction on best practices for data preservation, collection, review, and production in line with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with IT, InfoSec, HR, Privacy, and other internal teams to ensure defensible and efficient eDiscovery practices.
Manage legal data workflows, including vendor oversight, outside counsel collaboration, and project management for eDiscovery matters.
Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging legal and regulatory requirements affecting data management, privacy, and eDiscovery.
Oversee development and refinement of policies, procedures, and playbooks related to eDiscovery and data governance.
What You’ll Need:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
8+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency, with significant focus on eDiscovery and
complex litigation.Demonstrated experience negotiating and directing eDiscovery protocols with outside counsel and opposing parties.
Strong knowledge of eDiscovery platforms (e.g., RelativityOne, Google
Vault, Onna) and data management practices.Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the
ability to manage multiple high-profile matters in a fast-paced environment.Deep understanding of data privacy, information governance, and regulatory frameworks impacting global enterprises.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to adopt and implement AI technologies in legal workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Understanding of latest e-discovery capabilities relating hyper-scaler platforms such as Google, SalesForce, and Snowflake.
Bonus Points:
Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) or equivalent certification.
Experience in regulatory investigations, cybersecurity litigation, or technology-related disputes.
Familiarity with international data transfer rules and global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
RelativityOne Expert or Master certification

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
