As a Sr Contracts Representative here at Honeywell, you will report directly to our Director of Contracts, and you’ll work out of our Charolotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the contract lifecycle for our business. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, legal, and finance teams, to ensure the successful execution of contracts and compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise in contract management and negotiation will be instrumental in driving successful business outcomes and mitigating legal risks.

In this role, you will impact the company by effectively managing and overseeing the execution of contracts, ensuring that Honeywell operates in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and protecting the company's interests.

We are seeking an experienced US Government Contracts Specialist to join our Commercial Law team. This role will focus on supporting contracts that include US Government requirements, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and implementation of contractual obligations across the business.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts involving US Government requirements and standards (including FAR-based obligations)
  • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements relevant to US Government contracting
  • Identify and implement required flowdown provisions in supply agreements connected to prime or sales contracts
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance obligations and contractual risk
  • Support business teams in structuring and executing compliant contracting strategies
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure adherence to applicable regulations
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience managing/negotiating contracts
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial terms and conditions Strong hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating government contracts
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing US Government contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into contract terms
  • Proven experience working with US Government contracts flowdowns and subcontracting structures
