We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Communications Specialist to join our Brand and Communications team supporting internal and external communications for the Industrial Automation business. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance our brand presence and engage target audiences. This position requires excellent writing skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.

You will report directly to our VP Communications, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location, on a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation

  •  Develop and produce high-quality content for various channels, including internal articles, press releases,   social media posts and byline articles.
  •  Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all communications.

2. Internal and External Communications channels:

  • Support internal communication initiatives by creating informative and engaging content for employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote organizational changes and achievements.
  •  Assist in media relations activities as requested.
  • Coordinate media inquiries and prepare materials for media outreach.

3. Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow social media presence by developing engaging content and monitoring online interactions.
  •  Analyze social media metrics to optimize performance and engagement.

4. Operational and Event Support:

  •  Assist in the execution of communications for events, including town halls, product launches, trade shows,   and community engagement activities.
  • Manage editorial calendar and results tracker.

5. Research and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communications and public relations.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of experience in external communications
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand development.
  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Experience in the technology or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
