Job Summary:
Leads category strategies and complex sourcing initiatives across multiple spend areas or high-impact categories. Applies advanced market analysis and commercial structuring to optimize total cost, mitigate supply risk, and strengthen supplier performance. Serves as a strategic partner to operational and functional leaders to align category programs with business priorities. Drives measurable outcomes through negotiations, governance models, and performance management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads development and execution of category strategies for complex or high-impact spend areas, including multi-year roadmaps and sourcing pipelines.
Conducts advanced spend, market, and supplier analyses to identify consolidation opportunities, standardization pathways, and strategic partnerships.
Leads end-to-end strategic sourcing events, including bid strategy, stakeholder alignment, commercial modeling, risk mitigation, performance, quality, and supplier negotiations.
Structures and manages preferred supplier programs, framework agreements, and master service agreements (MSAs), including service, quality, and compliance requirements in conjunction with respective departments.
Establishes category governance and supplier performance routines, including scorecards, corrective actions, business reviews, and risk mitigation plans.
Partners with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Risk stakeholders to drive program adoption, compliance, and resolution of escalated supplier issues.
Develops and delivers category performance reporting that communicates financial impact, service performance, and supplier compliance trends.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supply chain operations required.
Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and influencing cross-functional stakeholders required.
Experience supporting construction, material distribution, or project-based sourcing environments preferred.
